Read This Before Gardening, Landscaping, or Hiking

The malls are closed down, restaurants, bars, clubs, and any other public gathering place, in order to protect us from the Covid 19. More people are returning to more secluded, safer places to enjoy the warm weather.

Many people are catching up projects that they didn’t have time for before like deep cleaning, home repairs, landscaping, or gardening. Before you chose your shrubbery, see if your choice of yard decor is on this list.

However, the social distancing statutes and stay at home orders can be hard to follow and sometimes you just need to get out of the house, someplace safe and isolated. Hiking trails are perfect choices for an outdoors day because they include learning and lunch. Pick the right one and you have a better chance of socializing with a squirrel than you do a person, and the people you meet aren’t likely to report your non essential day out.

If your not an experienced hiker or camper, hit the books before you go and bring a nature guide with you when you do. They may not look it but plants as well as animals and insects can have aggressive defenses that can harm or even kill. Just because it looks foody doesn’ t mean it is but pets and young children may not realize that. I have included some links to start you on your info quest.

There are a lot of great resources out there, happy hunting and enjoy the warmish weather. If by chance you do get caught, you could get arrested, so before you go, have a plan in place with R3 Contingencies. We can also help if someone gets sick and goes to the hospital. Whether you are home, or traveling, have a plan in place, just in case.
